AFC EAST
The Patriots left the door open for the Bills or the Dolphins to sneak in and steal the division title. Everyone thought the Pats had it locked up, but in week 13, I had my eye on the Bills. SO this week the Bills and the Dolphins play for their playoff hopes in Buffalo. The interesting part about the race for the AFC EAST, is that New Englands final two games are against the Bills and the Dolphins. Week 16 is at home against Buffalo and week 17 is in Miami. The historic rivalries between these 3 teams should make for an interesting drama. Stay tuned.
AFC NORTH
In a dead heat , the Steelers and Browns may have lost a step by both dropping their games this week in a crucial battle for the "BELOW .500 division". The records are not any indication of anything less than this just being a tough division with good competition. There is no team that is outshining the other. The Ravens have the ability to take a one game lead, if they can grab a win against the 3-10 Bengals. But that is not as easy as it looks. The Bengals are not eliminated yet. A win against Baltimore and they will be only 2 games back with 2 to play.
AFC SOUTH
The Colts are on top , for now. But the Texans have had a hot hand lately , and are only trailing Indy by 1 game at the moment. The Colts have a game against 3-10 Minnesota, and the Texans have to tango with the 4-9 Titans. The Texans need the win to also stay a step ahead of Oakland for the second wild card. Looks like the horshoe emblem could be the good luck charm for the Colts. We shall see.
AFC WEST
The cinderella story is unfolding. The Raiders are getting it done. After upsetting the superbowl champs with a decisive 24-6 victory, they are looking good to snatch that second wildcard spot. Kansas City and Denver have already clinched a playoff spot. So which team will get the home field advantage throughout the playoffs? And which one will be a wildcard?
NFC EAST
The Resdkins and Eagles have clinched playoff spots, but they are also divsion rivals looking to win the title. And the title could be determined in week 17 when they play each other.
NFC NORTH
Like i said in week 13, watch out for the Monsters of the Midway. They surprised the Lions in front of the Detroit fans at Ford Field. The Lions have dropped two straight and have their work cut out for them. Their last two games are against the 11-2 Saints, and at Soldiers Field for a rematch with the Chicago Bears. Wheres my popcorn? I wanna watch this one unfold !!
NFC SOUTH
The Superbowl champs continue to slump as they drop a big game against Oakland. If the saints can pull off a win this week, um against Atlanta... cough cough. Then they will have a one game lead. However New Orleans has to play Detroit and Denver in the final two. The Bucs have games against Atlanta, and the 10-3 Kansas City Chiefs. So the fat lady wont be singing here til week 17 is over.
NFC WEST
The Rams clinched the division with their victory over New England this week. So the Cards are playing for pride the rest of the way.
